Our approach
Yaroukana ("the app") is designed local-first, with your privacy as the top priority. Everything you register - items, history, and settings - is stored only on your device and is never sent to any external server, including ours.
Information we collect
The app itself does not collect personal information.
- No account registration is required
- We do not collect your name or email address
- We do not use analytics
- Items and photos you register are never used or shared for ad targeting
That said, as described under "Advertising" below, Google (AdMob) may collect device identifiers and approximate location to serve ads.
Advertising
The app shows banner ads via Google AdMob. To serve these ads, Google (AdMob) collects and uses:
- Device identifiers (advertising ID, etc.)
- Approximate location (city-level, inferred from your IP address and similar signals)
This data is shared with Google for ad serving and optimization, and is separate from - and never combined with - the item/photo data you register in the app. The developer never has access to this advertising-related data.
See Google's Ads Policy and Privacy Policy for how Google handles this data.
Where your data lives
| Data | Location |
|---|---|
| Items, history, categories | On your device (app-private storage) |
| App settings | On your device (app-private storage) |
| Backup files | Wherever you choose to save them |
Uninstalling the app deletes the data on your device. Use the backup (ZIP export) feature in Settings if you want to keep a copy.
Notifications
Reminders use your device's local notification feature only. Notification schedules and content are never sent to an external server.
Sharing with third parties
Since the app holds none of your registered data, there is nothing to share with third parties beyond the advertising involvement of Google (AdMob) described above.
Future changes
If a future update adds features such as cloud backup (Google Drive integration), we will update this policy and announce it in the app or on this page. Even then, we will not build anything that lets the developer read the contents of your items.
